RV storage is always a negotiation between useful volume and the space left for everything else. A foldable water bucket creates an outdoor washing spot without reserving a fixed cabinet for a rigid basin.
Use the bucket for controlled washing, not for storing drinking water. The lid and drain make it easier to cover the contents and empty the bucket away from the living area. A wide handle helps when a small amount of water must be moved.
Checks for an RV layout
- The folded bucket should fit in the exterior storage bay you actually use.
- Look for a handle and base that remain stable when the bucket is partly filled.
- Keep the bucket away from electrical hookups, bedding and dry pantry storage.
A short outdoor wash cycle
- Set up on stable ground near the outdoor cooking zone but away from doorways.
- Use a separate jug for clean water and fill only the amount needed for the task.
- Drain the bucket after washing and wipe the folds before it goes back into the bay.
- Leave the lid off during drying so air can reach the base and seams.
An 8L container is manageable for vegetable washing and a few dishes. A 20L folding bucket is better for carrying larger amounts between a shared water point and the RV, but it should not be lifted by the handle when completely full.
Keep the outdoor kitchen flexible
The useful setup is one that can be brought out for a task and packed away clean. Reserve one storage place for the bucket and its drying cloth so it does not end up wet beside the pantry.
