Shoppers cannot open a prep tub through a screen. The image set has to make the lid, drain, depth and folded size understandable before they reach the product page copy.
A useful first image is the product alone on a clean background, with the lid and drain clearly visible. The rest should answer practical questions: how flat it folds, how it carries food, what fits inside and which parts the customer will touch at the grill.
A practical six-image sequence
- Hero image: full tub, accurate color and visible lid clips.
- Feature image: drain plug, base and handle in clear close-up.
- Folded-size image with a simple comparison or dimension callout.
- Use image with vegetables or sealed food, avoiding unsupported claims.
- Lifestyle image that shows the tub at a clean outdoor prep station.
- Packaging image only when the retail carton is actually part of the offer.
Brief the shoot around the buyer
- Confirm color consistency across tub, lid and accessories.
- Avoid showing personal-care or unrelated household uses.
- Keep the food and setting relevant to BBQ, camping or kitchen prep.
- Check any text overlay before export so numbers and units match the final specification.
The image set should sell the object that will arrive, not a concept. Send the final color, size, lid type and packaging specification to the photographer or creative team at the same time as the sample.
Let the images answer the buying questions
A buyer needs to see how the tub opens, closes, drains and packs. When those images match the product specification, the listing has a clearer route from click to enquiry.
