Campfire cooking becomes much simpler when the vegetables, meat package and small utensils have one stable place. The tub is not a table, but it can keep those pieces from disappearing into loose camping gear.

The 8L foldable BBQ prep tub is small enough for a camping box and deep enough for a vegetable rinse or a short marinade. Keep it away from direct heat and do not place hot cookware on the lid.

Campfire-safe handling

  • Use a dedicated closed container for raw meat and a separate clean basin for vegetables.
  • Keep the tub on level ground, away from sparks and falling ash.
  • Empty and dry all folds before packing it with equipment.

A simple campfire prep rhythm

  1. Set up the tub before lighting the fire, with a clean towel and a waste bag beside it.
  2. Prepare vegetables first, then move to meat using separate tools and a separate container.
  3. Keep the lid closed when food is not being handled and move the tub upwind of the fire.
  4. After cooking, wash or wipe the tub away from the fire pit and let it dry completely before folding.

The 8L size fits a couple or a small camp kitchen. A 16L tub is better when several meals are prepared at once, but it needs a flatter storage place in the vehicle. Choose the size that can stay covered and stable on the site.

A calmer camp kitchen

Campfire cooking already involves heat, smoke and uneven ground. A single contained prep station reduces one more source of disorder and makes clean-up easier when the fire has burned down.
